Re:Generation

I'm very excited about this documentary/project Hyundia has in the works.

Here's the concept: five of the best electronic musicians in the world today are filmed doing some serious genre bending with non-electronic music legends. For example, Pretty Lights collaborates with country music's Leann Rimes and bluegrass folkhero Ralph Stanley. Skrillex drops a track with Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek, of The Doors. DJ Premier and Nas does a classic piece with the Berklee Symphony Orchestra and Mark Ronson gets together with the Dap Kings, Erykah Badhu, and Trombone Shorty for a jazz tune. The tracks i've heard so far have been out of this world besides the classical/rap track which did'nt hit the spot.

The Skrillex track is fucking amazing. But the problem with a collabo with such a prolific band is that Doors fans will be disappointed. But its not meant to be a Doors rock track, its a testament of how music has evolved and how artists like Skrillex or Justice have become the new "rock and roll". The Times they are a changin..

Rock:

Looking forward to hearing the Mark Ronson track.

Evill -
